My First Attempt at Tea Leaf Reading (Tasseography) With 'The Cup of Destiny'!

In today's video, I unbox 'The Cup of Destiny' created by Jane Lyle and try reading tea leaves for the first time! Follow along with my first attempt at tasseography (the technical term for tea leaf reading), the ancient form of divination that has been around for centuries (and featured in Harry Potter!).
I'm so intrigued by all these old practices, drawn to the idea of using my imagination and intuition to figure out what shapes and pictures might be found, and what they might mean!

I could spend ages looking into the cup, trying to form images from the tea leaves. Even now, when I look at the photos I took to share here, I see new images every time! As I said at the very end of the video, after I’d stopped recording and was taking some photos, suddenly I could see a duck that I hadn’t remotely noticed earlier! Prior to that, I could see a heart and a hare or rabbit. I shared a photo of it on my instagram story, and also had some of my family take a look, and everyone saw different things! My Dad saw a koala, my brother saw the letter ‘S’, and friends also saw a dog, a hand holding a cup, a little girl and a face.
You’ll always see something, and your interpretation may be completely different to someone else’s, but I think that’s what makes it such a fun, imaginative form of divination. Whether it’s predicting the future, telling you something you might need to know or understand, or guiding you in your life in some way… or whether it’s purely working with your subconscious to tell you what you may already know — whatever you believe, it’s a lot of fun!

Also please keep in mind that though 'The Cup of Destiny' may be a helpful tool, it is not necessary! Any cup and saucer should work for tasseography, though white cups are no doubt the easiest to read. If you have to buy something, consider looking for it second hand first!
