All of my Oracle, Tarot, Affirmation, Lenormand, and Fortune Telling Card Decks!

In today’s video, I share all 20 of my Oracle, Tarot, Affirmation, Lenormand, and Fortune Telling Card Decks, in 45 minutes! It was not an easy feat to keep this video short and sweet, and 45 minutes is certainly longer than anticipated, so feel free to zoom through via the chapters and time codes listed in the video description on YouTube! Or simply scroll down to read all about it in today’s blog post!

Here for the links? Go straight to the bottom of this page to the Resources and Recommendations section! Most are links to Amazon, however, I encourage you to purchase from a local bookshop if you can!

Hey everyone! Welcome back to the blog - or if you’re just meeting me for the first time, hi! My name is Ebonie, and this blog (and YouTube channel) is here to help you reconnect to your intuition, so you can manifest in the real world! If that sounds like something that you’re curious about, I hope you’ll consider subscribing to the channel, and the weekly newsletter!

Today I’d love to share with you my collection of Oracle, Tarot, Affirmation, Lenormand, and Fortune Telling Card Decks!

As I’ve mentioned before, I love card reading, and Tarot especially has helped me so much this past year. I love every single one of my decks and rotate through them regularly, using them for myself and others.

I’d love to share more general readings or pick-a-cards on my YouTube channel, so let me know if you’d be interested in that! But for now, I really love doing personalised readings, so if that’s something you’d like to learn more about you can check out my Tarot Bookings page here!

Also, if you’re curious about how I do my readings, you can get a good idea through my free weekly newsletter! Every Monday I send out a free weekly newsletter with a charmed tarot reading, including a voice recording so you can listen to it as you start your day! I love sending these out each week, and I’d love to share them with you too, so feel free to join the newsletter at the bottom of this page!

The video above shows a quick flick through of each deck, and is organised into parts as I mentioned above, so you can flick through if there are any particular decks you’re curious about! For this blog post, I’ll have the complete list along with my thoughts on each of the decks, so if you’ve already seen the video and want to know a little more, you’re in the right place!

Aside from being divided into categories, the decks are listed in no particular order. My favourites always change, and I love them all, so it’s just in order of how I picked them for the video.

I’ll try to keep this as short and sweet as possible, so if there are any decks you see that you’d to learn more about, let me know in the comments! I might do full-length reviews in the future if there’s enough interest!

If you’re like me and slightly obsessed with card decks, today’s blog post might be worth bookmarking!

Each deck listed here is linked to a place of purchase online, mostly Amazon. However, I encourage you to check with your local bookstore first!

Lenormand Card Decks

1.     Ur-Lenormand

I’d like to kick things off with Lenormand cards, in particular this deck here – Ur-Lenormand. This deck is a reprint of the original cards from 1799, originally known as ‘The Game of Hope’. Anyone interested in cards, Lenormand and history, will love this deck. It even includes instructions on how to play ‘The Game of Hope’ though I’ve yet to play it! It’s essentially a historic board game!

Yet beyond using the cards as a game, the symbols on these cards also became known for fortune telling, too. In comparison to Tarot, Lenormand is much more direct, and I’ve always find this deck to be very accurate! I love that it’s based on the original cards, and the illustrations and colours are really lovely. They are rather big for Lenormand cards, which are usually the size of regular playing cards. So I tend to do smaller readings with these, drawing no more than 6 cards at a time usually.

I can talk more in depth about what Lenormand is in a future video/blog post – definitely let me know if you have any questions!

2.     Celtic Lenormand – Written by Chloe McCracken, Artwork by Will Worthington

The Celtic Lenormand is a Pagan-Themed deck with rich, detailed illustrations. It also includes a few extra cards in addition to the regular Lenormand cards, with multiple tree, animal and people cards. I personally love the extra variety and meanings, and it’s easy to remove the extras if you’d prefer not to use them.

The guidebook is also really helpful, even providing a small section on spell work uses for each card. The Pagan theme is really interesting, and I also love that the setting of the cards is based in the Celtic nation of Brittany in the North of France.

3.     Pixie’s Astounding Lenormand – by Edmund Zebrowski

Pixie’s was the first Lenormand deck I purchased, and I can definitely recommend it as a beginner’s deck! It has straightforward images, is a wonderful small size, comes in an adorable little tin, and for anyone used to the Waite-Smith Tarot, the images may seem a little familiar — as this deck features artwork from the same artist as the original Tarot deck, Pamela Coleman Smith, or Pixie as she was known. So, for each card description in the guidebook, there’s a section titled ‘Image Origins’ which discusses where the different images are drawn from. A nice little homage to Pamela Coleman Smith!

Oracle Card Decks

 1.     DreamyMoons Cosmic Guidance Oracle by Annie Tarasova

So in love with these, with their shining silver accents, absolutely beautiful artwork and the on-point messages they share. I love that the guidebook includes an exercise and an affirmation, too. I feel so inspired every time I use these!

2.     Celtic Tree Oracle by Sharlyn Hidalgo, Illustrated by Jimmy Manton

The Celtic Tree Oracle are always so accurate, and the illustrations are stunning. Such a lovely way to learn about Oghams, too!

3.     Australian Wildflower Reading Cards by Cheralyn Darcey

These are so vibrant and beautiful! I love learning about Australian flowers at the same time I receive a meaningful message.

4.     Spirit Animal Oracle by Colette Baron-Reid

My most recent Oracle purchase, I haven’t had much opportunity to use these yet, but I am so excited to! So far they’ve been wonderful, and I’m sure any animal lover would adore these too!

5.     The Starseed Oracle by Rebecca Campbell and Danielle Noel

One of my first Oracle card decks I purchased, and I am still mesmerised by it. The pastel colours, the magical, mystical quality of the collaged images, the fact that every message it shares resonates, without fail, every time… I find I can intuitively read these, but the guidebook shares such valuable insight, I always read what it has to say!

6.     Moonology Oracle by Yasmin Boland

My go-to on a New or Full Moon, naturally! I love using these to learn more about the phases of the moon too, a subject I’m really eager to learn more about. I definitely recommend these for the advice they share and the lovely illustrations, too!

7.     Keepers of the Light Oracle by Kyle Gray

The Keepers of the Light Oracle features a series of Ascended Masters, spiritual deities and higher beings. The artwork is so colourful, and it feels like such a supportive Oracle. It always guides me in the right direction, no matter what card/s I draw!

These work so beautifully alongside other cards too, bringing a light, positive energy to any reading.

8.     A Yogic Path Oracle by Sahara Rose and Danielle Noel

The quality of this deck and it’s included full-colour guidebook always gets me! These cards honestly take me on a journey when I draw from them. I learn more about myself, I receive a message I need to hear, and I learn a little more about Vedic spirituality along the way, too. Drawing from A Yogic Path Oracle is always a soul enriching experience!

Fortune-Telling Cards

This category is for a couple of decks that don’t entirely fit anywhere else! They’re similar to Lenormand in a way – yet branch off into their own thing.

 1.     Vera Sibilla Italiana or the Every Day Oracle

Sibilla is another form of card divination that I’m not overly familiar with yet, but I’m looking forward to learning! This deck is very direct with me. It doesn’t hold back from telling me exactly what (maybe reluctantly) I need to hear!

2.     Madame Endora’s Fortune Telling Cards with artwork by Christine Filipak

These are so much fun to use! It’s great learning about all the different cards, with five different categories: The Royal Court, The Realm of Fable, The Bestiary, The Treasury, and The Elements.

I also greatly appreciate Madame Endora’s Book of Fortune, which is an extended guidebook, sold seperately. This book isn’t necessary to read the cards, though I love having the extra insight for them. The best part about the Book of Fortune is that it also includes so much more information about other spiritual concepts! From signs of the Zodiac to palm reading, candle magic and so much more. If you’d like to make the absolute most out of Madame Endora’s Fortune Telling Cards, I think it’s worth getting the Book of Fortune too!

Tarot Card Decks

 1.     Golden Universal Tarot Deck

This deck will always be near and dear to my heart, as my first ever Tarot deck! I still absolutely adore the gold trimmings. If you’re also slightly obsessed with all things gold, you might just love this deck too!

I definitely feel the most connected to this deck, out of all of them - after all, I have had it for years!

2.     The Smith-Waite Tarot Centennial Edition Deck, from the ‘Pamela Coleman Smith Commemorative Set’ by Stuart Kaplan, Illustrated by Pamela Coleman Smith

I love this deck so much, and the entire Commemorative Set that it came in, with two books and artwork too. The colours are really lovely! It’s not overly saturated, and supposedly it closely resembles how the original Waite-Tarot deck was printed.

Let me know if you’d like to see a full review on the Pamela Coleman Smith Commemorative Set.

3.     Everyday Tarot Deck by Brigit Esselmont

This deck is from the author of Biddy Tarot, an awesome website to search for Tarot meanings! The Everyday Tarot Deck is such a cute, travel-friendly size, with simple illustrations in gold, purple and cream. Simple and modern in appearance, but still heavy with all the meaning and symbolism of the traditional Waite-Smith Tarot that it’s based on. There are a few differences (spot the mermaids!), but it is very similar! I usually get more of a direct reading from these, I think because there is less detail to look into.

4.     The Light Seers Tarot Deck by Chris-Anne

The Light Seers Tarot is my most recent Tarot deck, and I am so in love with it! The artwork is stunning. The concept is awesome - the idea of light seers and shadow seers. The modern spin is fantastic and the overall deck is presented so beautifully. I think these deserve their own review, what do you think? Let me know if you’d like to see that!

5.     Medicine Woman Tarot by Carol Bridges

I always gravitate towards this deck when I feel tired or overwhelmed, as it has such a kind, nurturing voice. The Medicine Woman Tarot also has a guidebook sold separately, though it’s not necessary to read the cards. However, I admit I really do love the guidebook!

Find out more about The Medicine Woman Tarot in my full review here: First Impressions of The Medicine Woman Tarot Deck & Guidebook by Carol Bridges

6.     Illuminated Playing Cards by Caitlin Keegan

These are a quirky, fun approach to Tarot! There are two decks in the box - a night and a day deck! They’re both gold, navy and cream, with detailed line illustrations that are really gorgeous. The cards are set around regular playing cards, with Tarot meanings assigned to each also. It takes getting used to, but I like that they have both options! I think that they’d make a good gift, and they’d likely be a good deck to travel with as they can be used in multiple ways.

Affirmation Card Decks

1.    DreamyMoons Affirmation Cards by Annie Tarasova

The only affirmation cards I own! ‘I just love these SO much. They’re black and gold which is definitely a theme I’m into, and the illustrations and messages on each card are so beautiful and inspiring. My niece and I have used them together a few times now, too, so I feel so bonded to these cards! There’s something so lovely about drawing an affirmation card (or two) in the morning, and drawing motivation and guidance from it throughout your day. I definitely recommend trying it, if you haven’t already — and if you’re looking for affirmation cards, I definitely recommend these by DreamyMoons!

20 decks later! I hope that this video was helpful if you’re trying to pick a deck for yourself, a friend or family member. Note that I have so many because I use them for readings, and I love keeping every reading fresh and unique. For individual readings I often draw multiple cards from various decks, add a rune stone or two, and scatter charms!

I could talk for so much longer about all of these decks, but no doubt the video and this blog post is already so long! So now I’d love to hear from you! Comment below – what is your favourite card deck? Or if you don’t yet have one, what’s at the top of your wishlist? Please share your thoughts below and share this post to anyone you feel could benefit from it too!
